The Alvarado Veterinary Clinic (AVC) is a mixed animal country practice with high quality medicine and reasonable prices located 30 minutes south of downtown Fort Worth.
The Alvarado Veterinary Clinic would like to welcome you, your family, and your special family members to our website. It is our hope that you will learn a little about our dedication for practicing quality veterinary medicine and our passion for taking care of your pets and livestock.
The Alvarado Veterinary Clinic was established in 1981 by Dr. Bud Pearce and began as a 1-man practice. Thirty-plus years later we have grown a bit and now claim to be the largest mixed animal practice in Texas employing 16 veterinarians, 18-20 veterinary techs, 8 secretary/receptionists and 2 practice managers.
We treat a variety of patients including dogs, cats, horses, cattle, donkeys, goats, and pigs. Not so commonly seen, but always welcome, are other species such as rabbits, hedgehogs, ferrets, camels, kangaroos, chickens, etc. We never know for sure what will come through the front door. We are a walk-in clinic so no appointment is necessary. We provide farm call services for our large animal clients and we are available for after-hour emergencies when the need arises. Located in Alvarado on HWY 67, just west of I-35W about 30 minutes south of Fort Worth, we are convenient to get to from just about anywhere.
We are proudly associated with the following veterinary associations:
- AVMA – American Veterinary Medical Association
- TVMA – Texas Veterinary Medical Association
- TCVMA – Tarrant County Veterinary Medical Association
- TEVA – Texas Equine Veterinary Association
- TAVP – Texas Academy of Veterinary Practice
